Queer Asians & Straight Guys with Queer Haircuts

subscribe-itunes-buttonComing Out Day is October 11th, and though these are stories of joy and self-acceptance, coming out in a Christian context is sometimes a lot more painful and complicated. And it gets even more complicated for women and people of color.

This week, Kevin sits down with Kenji Kuramitsu to talk about being of mixed race and from an LGBT family construct, and coming to terms with one’s own racial identity.

And later in the podcast, Buzzfeed producer Niki Ang joins us to share her story of coming out in a white megachurch, and what it’s like being a queer woman of color working in mostly white contexts.

Also, do me a favor: go leave me a rating in the iTunes store. It takes just a few moments and really helps more people like you and me get connected with the content we’re creating here. Thanks!
